What is the strongest permanent magnet available?
Sintered neodymium magnets, also known as NdFeB magnets, are the strongest permanent magnets available. High-performance grades can reach a remanence of approximately 1.5 tesla. The achievable performance depends on the coercivity and temperature resistance required for the application.

Yes. BOMATEC provides magnetic design and optimization using finite element analysis tools such as Opera and ANSYS, analytical magnetic-modeling tools and dedicated CAD systems. BOMATEC can also estimate eddy-current losses and compare different magnet-segmentation designs.
A prototyping facility in Switzerland supports rapid development and testing before series production. Motor-level engineering support can be provided together with the sister company Steeem.
Is there a tool for calculating the holding force of magnets?
Yes. The BOMATEC MAGNETON allows users to calculate the holding force of a magnet by entering application-specific parameters. The tool then provides a meaningful simulation. It is directly accessible via the MAGNETON magnetic force calculator.
